This stone bridge crosses the River Vezere in the Dordogne region of Southern France. Canoes were being paddled down the river as our group of artists sat and painted. We had just finished our picnic lunch, with bottles of wine, of course, and were in a creative mindset. This 16" x 20" acrylic on canvas painting is an award winner.

In Southern France, there are countless harbors and beaches, that attract boaters and bathers. Some of the female bathers go topless as is depicted in this 9" x 12" acrylic painting on canvas. A walled estate sits on the island in the distance and a rowboat floats on the clear blue Mediterranean in the foreground.

The town of Montagnac in Southern France is a beautiful old city made mostly of stone. It is a welcoming place and a pleasure to visit. If you don't speak french though, the neighborhoods high on the hill, will prove to be a challenge if you need to find out why someone is waving their arms at you and shouting. Oh, well it was fun starting this painting on site in the very narrow streets of this charming town. This is an 11" x 14" acrylic painting on canvas panel.
